Jan Bee has been painting on and off for most of her life. She has dabbled in many mediums but her first love is oils. She currently uses water soluble oils and likes to create unusual surface texture and depth by sometimes adding sand, polyfilla, wood chips or pencil shavings to her landscapes. Her favourite subject matter is landscapes and seascapes taken from her own holiday photographs.
Jan joined the society at the beginning of 2009.
This painting was inspired by a visit to Bath.
