Marion Walker lives in Holbeach, Lincolnshire and has enjoyed painting all her life. After she retired, her hobby became a full time interest. She took her GCSE and A-Level in Fine Arts, as a mature student, at the Spalding Education Centre, and went on to study Creative Development in Landscape, at the Pilgrim College, Boston. She paints mainly in Acrylics, and many of her paintings are inspired by images of Africa, where she and her husband lived for over 20 years.
Marion has been a member of the Spalding Arts and Crafts Society for over 10 years. She has served on the Committee for nearly all of them, first as Exhibition Secretary, and latterly as Editor of the Newsletter ontil stepping down in 2011.
