Mary is the Society's Publicity Organiser, and has always enjoyed dabbling in any medium, tho' she finds botanical painting is the most satisfying.
After retiring she did an Open University degree in Art History. This involved a visit to Italy, where she saw the line of washing which inspired "Pink Knickers". She was proud that it was exhibited at the Mall Gallery, along with the works of other finalists in the Daily Mail "Not the Turner Prize" competition. "Harvest Supper" was voted the People's Choice in the Society's 2009 Annual Exhibition.
Mary is looking forward to more painting holidays in France and Spain with Norman Rossiter's group.
